The War of the Gods

Zero & Azure 1

Azure tells Zero after eating that they should look for the person that was looking for them earlier that day.

I think Zero needs to make an int check to make sure he understands… I mean… he isnt all that bright…

“Hey Zero! Somepony.. I mean.. someone was looking for you! You should really look for this person. It sounded important :o”

I roll intelligence 1d20(19+3)=22 to make sure I understand Azure and what he is saying. I roll streetwise now 1d20(14+5)=19 to Look for the person that was looking for me.

DM: You find the person at the local pub Azure has to wait outside for you. They ask is anything had happened to your traps today. You respond with nothing why. They tell you that several pieces of the farm had been harvested ahead of schedule and had then been salted. He also says that although he didn’t see anything there might be someone who saw more. He then goes oh and I almost forgot here’s the greatsword you ordered, before handing you a basic greatsword.

Duncan is also inside the pub and hears the entire conversation.

Hey! Ponies are people too DX<

Zero & Azure 1

I’m gonna assume that my passive perception of 20 will let me see anyone unusual in the pub, if not then I roll 1d20(12+10)=22. I then go around asking people if they have seen anything strange and roll an insight check to see if they are telling the truth 1d20(1+5)=6 (god dam it my second crit fail)….

DM: You don’t see anyone out of the ordinary inside the pub. Everyone there has lived in the village for a very long time. You ask around inside of the pub and get conflicting stories but you believe every word. One says that a dragon did it. Another says kobolds. Another says they saw the ground turning against the villagers. Another one says they saw goblins fleeing. Yet another claims that it was hid dog. And finally the bartender says it sounds like the village has angered the squirrels. In your mind you somehow combine these stories into a plausible explanation not even your god can figure out how you managed that.

Note: Duncan is also allowed to make a post here with his answer to Matt’s question.

Zero & Azure 1

See? This is why you should have brought me!

Also, I do not think the Duncan can see this note, unless it was also placed in a Duncan post :o

I have stated in the rules that you can look at others posts but make sure that you don’t use the information for your characters actions.

Zero & Azure 1

Oh… I seem to have misread that rule…

Thought it was “Don’t read so you don’t have info you shouldn’t have”

Time to go read all the posts :x

I ask Zero to step into my “office” and propose that he hire me to take care of his problem.

Zero & Azure 1

I tell the drunk about how the farms are being harvested earlier and being salted, and how some strange things may be happening to peoples traps, also acquire how much you would charge for this job.

Zero & Azure 1

“Well mister, this dudn’t sound like the usual rat problems I come across. Fer a job like this I’ll charge 20 gold. Whatever trouble you come across I’ve get yer back.”

Zero & Azure 1

I will pay the 20 gold pieces, but I want to go with you so I can see for myself what is happening

Zero & Azure 1

Duncan scratches his chin, “Yeh drive a hard bargain, mister. Why don’t you pay me 20 gold and pick up my bar tab and we’ll get along just fine. I’ll make sure no rascals go and try to bother us.”

Zero & Azure 1

I’ll pay for half the tab, and we set out at first light

Zero & Azure 1

Duncan spits on his hand and shakes Zero’s hand, “Yeh got yerself a deal mister.” Duncan then goes out of the bar to gather up his supplies from his house and get ready.
