The War of the Gods

Bob 1

Bob wakes up in the middle of a field knowing only that he is a paladin in the service of Asmodeus and that apparently he has a scythe, hide armor, a waterskin, and 10 days of rations. Everything else from his life appears to be gone. As he goes to stand he feels very beat up as though he had been fighting. (Lose 5 healing surges) He looks around and sees that he appears to be in a small clearing of a forest. After this he hears a whisper he assumes from his god of (sarcasm)“Good luck.”.

I roll a history check 14+(-1) to discover my name and a nature check 4(2) to find out where I am. I also roll a perception check to try to find any nearby roads or other signs of civilization 13(2)

You know your name however, you don’t recognize any of your surroundings. You also see no signs of any civilization.

Bob the evil decides to head… west.

Bob 1

You start walking in the direction you believe to be west. Eventually you come to a cliff overlooking what you guess to be an ocean. It took most of the day to get there so you only have 9 days of food and 2 days of water remaining.

Bob performs a perception check to find signs of civilization 17 (15+2) and a nature check to forage food and water 15 (13+2)

You find tracks leading in the opposite direction from where you were heading. You also find food and water for the day. Leaving you with 9 days of rations and 3 days of water remaining.

Bob 1

I follow the tracks offering a short prayer of thanks to asmodeus

Bob 1

After following the tracks for about a day you happen upon a village. You have 8 days of food and 2 days of water.

Bob 1

I grab someone and ask them where the hell am I

Bob 1

They respond with “Carn you damned fool now let go of me before I scream for the town guard.”

Bob decides to bum it out in the park since he hasn’t rested for a few days.

Barring anything eventful happening Bob walks around the newly discovered Carn for notable landmarks and buildings.

You find the pub, the inn, and a blacksmith. The blacksmith seems to only make farming tools. You also notice a strange pony that is loose near the pub. The only reason you see this as odd is that most people would tie up a horse or pony but this one is just standing there.

Bob 1

Bob heads to the pub to eavesdrop on any interesting conversations
